Today I had the pleasure of hosting a care funding drop-in clinic at Upton Manor Care Home, part of the Hamberley Care Homes group, organised and run with Laura Morgan.

It was a valuable opportunity to meet residents, families and visitors to discuss the financial considerations of planning for later life care.

These conversations can often feel overwhelming, so having the opportunity to answer questions and provide guidance in a relaxed and welcoming environment was incredibly rewarding.

Thank you to Laura and the wonderful team at Upton Manor for their hospitality and support throughout the day. It was great to see such engagement around an important topic that affects so many families.

A fantastic morning spent delivering an in-person training session with over 30 members of the HK Law team.

We had some excellent discussions around the upcoming pension legislation changes and, in particular, the impact these will have on both clients’ financial planning and the way solicitors and advisers work together to deliver the best outcomes.

With significant changes on the horizon, it’s more important than ever that legal and financial professionals collaborate to ensure clients receive joined-up, informed advice.

A huge thank you to Quilter for their support, and especially to John their Pension Specialist, for sharing his expertise and helping bring clarity to these complex but important changes.
