Last week, we had the pleasure of celebrating Penny Heyworth's retirement!

Penny has been a valued member of the Wynchwood team since 2014 and has over 40 years of experience in the financial services industry as a Chartered Financial Planner. Throughout her career, she has built lasting relationships with clients and colleagues alike, and her knowledge, professionalism and kindness have made a real difference to everyone she's worked with.

It seems only fitting that Penny's time at Wynchwood saw her reunited with our Managing Partner, Nigel Foster, having first been members of the same Scout group as children many years ago.

Penny, thank you for your dedication, friendship and everything you've contributed over the last 12 years. We wish you a long, happy and well-deserved retirement, filled with new adventures.

We are incredibly proud to have helped raise over £4,000 for Cardigan Cancer Care at last week’s Wynchwood Charity Golf Day.

Each year, Wynchwood look to sponsor local causes. This year we are supporting both Alzheimer's Society and Cardigan Cancer Care, a self-funded local charity providing support and financial assistance to people affected by cancer in the local community.

We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who took part, donated prizes, bought raffle tickets and supported the day so generously. It was brilliant to see so many local businesses and members of the community coming together for such an important local cause.

Huge thanks for the raffle donations from Yr Hen Printworks, Bocs Du, Crwst, In the Welsh Wind Distillery, Y Pentre Llangrannog, Scarlets Rugby as well as various other private donations.

Special thanks to Rhodri Evans for organising the event, along with Cardigan Golf Club, Head Pro Adam Constable, and everyone who donated prizes and supported throughout the day.

Thank you also to Redkite Solicitors, "FORE" Business Cardiff and HCR Law for entering teams that travelled a long way to join us.

Meet Rhodri, Rhodri completed his degree in Economics in 2017 and completed his training to become a Qualified Financial Adviser in 2020. Rhodri has experience with Discretionary Fund Management firms and specialises in Personal Injury, Court of Protection and Trust cases. Rhodri also provides advice on Retirement planning, Investment advice, Personal and Business protection, and Estate planning.

Rhodri is an avid Runner, Swimmer, Climber and Rugby player as well as being the founder of an Elite Rugby 7s team which he runs with his friends and Semi/Professional Rugby players from across the UK.

He has been in the industry for over ten years and was a technical support paraplanner before becoming a fully qualified adviser.
