Are you the type of person who shops around when your car insurance is due… or do you just let it auto-renew every year? 🤔

Be honest.

Because your energy, broadband, home insurance, and even your phone contract are pretty much the same thing — things you just keep renewing year after year.

Maybe you’re happy with the service, and that’s completely fine.

But are you actually happy paying more than you should be for it?

Loyalty rarely gets rewarded by providers anymore — it just means you’re less likely to be on the best deal. A quick, free comparison costs you nothing and takes minutes.

Drop me a message if you want to find out where you actually stand.

Do you feel a bit out of control with your household expenses? 😮‍💨

Maybe you’re still with the same provider you’ve been with for years — happy enough with what you get, but that monthly payment is slowly creeping up.

Sound familiar?

All it takes is one message to us about anything to do with your energy, broadband, or even your insurance — which could also do with a look at.

No pressure, no obligation. Just a simple, honest check to see if you’re still on the best deal for you.

⚡ Energy bills are going up again — here’s what you need to know.

Ofgem has just confirmed the energy price cap is rising by 4% from 1 October, taking the typical household bill from £1,663 to £1,723 a year.

If you’re on a standard variable tariff, this increase will apply to you automatically — no letter, no warning, it just happens.

Here’s the bit most people don’t realise: the price cap doesn’t mean you’re on the best deal. It’s simply the maximum suppliers can charge on a default tariff. There are often better options out there — fixed tariffs, different suppliers, different rates — but nobody checks unless you ask.

With this rise landing in a few weeks, now’s a good time to actually look at:

✅ What tariff you’re currently on

✅ Whether a fixed deal would protect you from further rises

✅ Whether your current supplier is even competitive anymore

I offer a free, no-obligation review — I’ll check your current tariff and rates against what’s actually available right now, so you know exactly where you stand before the rise hits.

No jargon. No pressure. Just an honest comparison.

💜 Another home visit today… and honestly, this one shocked me.

I visited a gentleman who had been paying:

⚡ £142 a month for his energy (still on his supplier’s standard variable rate)
📶 £48 a month for broadband he barely used
🛡️ £38 a month for home insurance he’d never once compared

That’s around £228 a month.

And the saddest part?

He’d been paying it for years.

Nobody had ever sat down with him and asked what he actually needed.

He just renewed everything automatically, year after year, without realising there were better options out there.

After going through everything together, he now has:

⚡ A fixed energy tariff – £98 a month
📶 Full Fibre Broadband – £23 a month
🛡️ Home insurance, properly compared – £24 a month

Saving an incredible £83 EVERY MONTH!

That’s £996 a year. 😳

And this is exactly why I do what I do.

It’s not about telling people what to buy.

It’s about asking:
“What are you actually paying for, and do you still need it?”

Sometimes people aren’t overpaying because they’re being ripped off.

They’re overpaying because nobody has ever checked.

If you, or someone you know, thinks they might be paying for things they don’t need anymore — simply send me a bill, give me a call, or ask me to pop round.

Are you actually on the best tariff for you? Here’s how to check 🔍

With so many energy, broadband, and mobile tariffs on the market right now, it’s genuinely hard to know if you’re getting a good deal — or quietly overpaying every month.

Here’s the thing: providers don’t tell you when a better tariff comes out. You could be sitting on a deal that was competitive a year ago but isn’t anymore, and nothing on your bill will flag that.

A few questions worth asking yourself:

✅ Do you know exactly how much energy/data you actually use each month?

✅ Has your tariff changed automatically since you signed up (e.g. rolled onto a standard/default rate)?

✅ Have you compared what’s currently available, or just renewed with the same provider out of habit?

With rates and providers shifting so often, “best deal” isn’t a one-time thing — it changes.

I offer a free, no-obligation bill check — I look at your actual usage and compare it against what’s currently available, so you know exactly where you stand. No pressure, just clarity.

Drop me a message if you’d like me to take a look 🙂

🟢 Tendring Community Energy 🟢

Every Conversation Matters

Sometimes the biggest successes don’t begin with renewable energy.
They begin with listening.

Recently, a gentleman returned to our office simply to say thank you.
When he first visited us he was struggling with housing and uncertainty about the future. Through partnership working and signposting to the right organisations, he has now secured accommodation and wanted to let us know that things are finally turning around.

Moments like these remind us why community energy is about far more than solar panels.
When people no longer have to worry about where they are living, they are in a much better position to think about reducing bills, improving their homes and building a brighter future.

Community resilience begins with people.
