You'll be a key part of our accounting team, taking ownership of year-end accounts, managing client relationships, and making sure the work leaving Arvo is something we're proud to put our name to.
But here's where it gets interesting.
You'll also play a big part in developing the people around you.
That means reviewing work prepared by other team members, sharing your knowledge, answering the occasional "can I just ask you something?" (which we all know is never just one question), and helping the team grow in confidence and ability.

Your role will involve:
- Preparing year-end accounts and corporation tax returns for a varied portfolio of businesses.
- Reviewing accounts, VAT returns and other work prepared by colleagues.
- Supporting, coaching and developing less experienced team members.
- Managing client relationships and being someone clients genuinely enjoy dealing with.
- Identifying opportunities to improve the way we work, because "that's how we've always done it" isn't a good enough reason.
- Working closely with the wider team to deliver great service without unnecessary complications.
๐๐ก๐จ ๐๐ซ๐ ๐ฐ๐ ๐ฅ๐จ๐จ๐ค๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐จ๐ซ?
We're not obsessed with fancy job titles or how impressive your CV looks.
We care about what you can do, how you approach your work and what you bring to the team.
You'll need solid experience working in accountancy practice, a good understanding of year-end accounts and tax compliance, and the confidence to review other people's work.
Experience with Xero would be a big advantage.
But beyond the technical stuff?
We want someone who's approachable, supportive, comfortable taking responsibility and happy to get stuck in.
Someone who can explain something complicated without making the person asking feel stupid.
Someone who wants the people around them to become better accountants.
And most importantly, **someone who doesn't think being experienced means they've finished learning.**
