What financial mistakes could affect my ability to get a mortgage?

Here are some examples:

I missed my credit card payment.

I had a dispute with my mobile phone company.

I am late on my council tax bill.

I missed a mortgage payment.

I took car finance out 2 months ago.

I have transferred an existing credit card balance onto a new card.

I missed a loan payment.

Will this stop me from getting a mortgage?

In isolation financial errors do not usually stop you from getting a mortgage.

As I have access to lenders across the market, I will be able to present you with options 👌🏻

🕘 Regular spending on a day-to-day basis for essential items such as mortgage payments, rent, bills and food are expected. It is important to make sure that payments for all of these items are made on time.
✅ If you use a credit card to manage your spending, try and pay this off in full each month.
✅ If you have credit card balances outstanding, try and reduce them each month and pay more than the minimum.
Try not to reach the limit on your credit cards and overdrafts.
🚘 For unsecured borrowing such as car finance and personal loans make sure the payments are made on time and if you are unable to do so, contact your provider as quickly as possible.
