“Oh, nothing major.
Just started not one but two new businesses that will be ready to launch soon.
Sorted a business bank account,new emails & made relevant new social media pages
Then researched,trialled & made decisions on a s**t ton of software - no biggie!”🤣🙈

Certainly beats doomscrolling and I can feel that same fire in my belly that I felt when I launched AMA Accountancy 6 years ago!

Some of you may remember I ran the Great South Run last year to raise money for Cancer Research UK (thanks again to everyone who donated 🙏).

After various health issues,I wasn’t sure if I’d do it again but after managing to secure a spot raising money for a charity close to my heart, I couldn’t not.

So this year I’m running for a mental health charity who not only campaign to raise awareness but also provide support to those in need via calls,text messages & email.

So I’m back with my begging bowl and if anyone can spare even a £1 to help it would be massively appreciated 💖

Introducing a new member of our team, Katlynne.

Katlynne joins us as an Accounts Assistant with 7 years of experience doing everything from bookkeeping & VAT to Self-Assessment & Year-End prep.

I always get a bit nervous when a new team member starts.
As a small team it’s so important a person has the right vibe but Katelynne has come in and clicked with everyone straight away and already it feels like she’s always been there (in a good way🤣
(Plus she’s not adverse to a selfie!🙌😂)

I’m so excited to have her onboard and I’m sure you’ll all join me in welcoming her to the team!

Anyone who knows me knows my feelings about networking (anyone remember my one & only attempt?🫣).

However,a business contact of mine has been trying to convince me to go to them and kindly invited me to one today in Bournemouth.

For various reasons (including my thoughts on such events) I very nearly didn’t go.
Right up to the car park as the anxiety was kicking in I was telling myself to just turn around.

I’m so glad I didn’t!

I had the best time and met some incredible women!

Added bonus was getting a back,neck & shoulder massage, a facial & tried Reiki.
Oh and had the same message from a third tarot lady🤯

There were so many incredible speakers & I learned so much.
I’ve come away with complete clarity & focus.

For the first time in ages,I feel ridiculously excited - I’ve got some big plans and I can’t wait to start working on them!

This pic popped up on my timehop this morning and 🤯

They say a picture speaks a thousand words………

It’s crazy,I was talking to my therapist about my weight issues yesterday (currently going through a gain but measurements/dress size have barely changed so how much does it matter?) and how I still struggle mentally with it but when I see pics like this I realise how far I’ve come.

Firstly, a 10kg difference between the two but over 2 dresses smaller now which just shows exercising consistently regardless of what exercise it is or what your weight says,you will see a difference.

Secondly, it makes me so sad looking at the first one.
I can see through it and see how sad & unhappy that person was.
I can see the mask and the attempt to hide the pain.
The attempt to show up online & look happy because that’s what we get told we have to do when building a business.

I was going through so much professionally & personally.

To the outside world,life looked like everything was going well.
And it was to a degree,my business had really taken off but I was so stressed and life was falling apart around me.
I started getting debilitating anxiety attacks- I’d literally end up on the floor with Ralph trying to check I was still alive🐶

It was taken in the midst of what I now realise was me going through a complete breakdown.

3 years later life couldn’t be more different and for that I’m so grateful.
Especially for the ones who pulled me through it -my husband,son,friends,PTs (ironic I bumped into my old boxing coach for the first time in years the other day), therapist and of course, Ralph 🙏 💖

And the ones who took advantage? Karma is a wonderful thing 😂✌️

I was having a good week until today - therapy was a hard one (and hit real deep), followed by discovering in my friends bathroom mirror quite how badly I’m going grey & chiro (which never leaves me feeling great straight after)🙄

All I wanted was my favourite roll & soup for dinner followed by a fat bowl of my favourite ice cream but apparently the universe has other ideas & even my happy place would rather I just sit with my feelings rather than eat them😒

I’m a firm believer than everything happens for a reason & it knows what’s best for me (tbf it’s never wrong even today🐷) so I listen but on this occasion it can 🖕🤣

I won’t be beaten!🍨🙌
(Not my fave but it’ll do!😂)

Plus side, major improvement on the injury side & I don’t have to see the chiro for another 4 weeks AND I managed to get my lashes done 🥳🎉

Now I just have to figure out how to deal with the grey hair with minimal maintenance 🙈
