We’re so lucky to have an office in the lovely grounds of Betton Farm where we have a real community with other business owners

My youngest daughter has also been lucky to be able to spend time here volunteering as part of her Duke of Edinburgh.

It’s a big thanks to the staff at Betton Farm who have welcomed her into the craft room where she has been assisting adults with special needs as well learning new skills herself.

📢 Help . We’re looking for an experienced Accountant for a short term role

We are supporting a growing small business based in Pickering, and due to workload we would like an experienced accountant with advanced Xero knowledge to join us to help with finance improvement.

This is a in person project role for up to 3 months, with the possibility of ongoing, flexible support once the initial project is complete.

Working alongside ourselves and the business owners you’ll:

✔ Review the current Xero setup and accounting processes.
✔ Implement improved systems and workflows.
✔ Help streamline the finance function.
✔ Train and support staff to get the very best from Xero.

We’re looking for someone who is:

✅ Highly experienced in Xero.
✅ Proven track record of improving accounting systems and processes.
✅ Comfortable training and supporting others.
✅ Practical, proactive and enjoys working with small businesses.

“Isn’t AI going to take your job” ?

This is a question we hear often. 🙄

The truth is, our office may look quaint and we hold old fashioned values but we’re still excited about AI.

Not because it can do our job, but because it helps us spend less time on repetitive tasks and more time doing what we enjoy most – getting to know clients, understanding their businesses and helping them succeed.

Technology will continue to evolve, but relationships, trust and genuine human conversations will always matter.

AI is simply another tool that helps us put people first.

That’s something no computer will ever replace.

We were absolutely blown away by the young man from Scarbough Utc Collage who came into the office to pitch for sponsorship to attend the world finals in Singapore with their stem racing.

The hard work and dedication from the student was incredible to see and with such confidence at 16 years old it was clear there is an amazing future in business

What a fantastic opportunity and obviously great leadership at the college.

It was a no brainer that we would sponsor so please consider donating.

Rural Accounting - Yorkshire Born, Bred & Proud

We’re incredibly proud to be based in Yorkshire and support some amazing clients many of which are involved in agriculture or rural based business. 🐑

It was wonderful to have a day out of the office yesterday at The Great Yorkshire Show with my youngest daughter to celebrate the best of what Yorkshire offers in terms of farming, food and rural community support.

We even managed a spot of willow weaving so it may become our new side hustle

It’s a fact that rural communities are made up of an ageing population but they often find it difficult to access care when they need it most purely because of their locality.

I have spent much of my working life providing care and support to others, through my work as a care assistant in care homes, hospitals and private homes too. From The Heart Home Care & Support is an idea I had when hearing of some elderly individuals in rural villages struggling to access care in their homes, often due to the travel barriers that living rurally poses. As I live rurally myself that is no issue!

I recognise the importance of being able to remain independent in your own home, for as long as possible. After all, there really is no place like home 🏡

My aim is to provide you, or a loved one with the support needed, to make life just that little bit easier for everyone ☺️ From personal care to help with shopping, companionship cuppas and help with household tasks.
