We're absolutely thrilled to announce that DL Accounts has been shortlisted as a finalist in the Karbon Excellence Awards for Sustainability! 🏆🌿
Being recognised alongside five other exceptional firms from across the globe is something we're incredibly proud of — and it means a great deal to the whole team here in Cornwall. This nomination reflects more than a decade of genuine commitment to sustainable practices, not as a box-ticking exercise, but as something we truly believe in and have woven into the way we run our business every single day.
Sustainability isn't a new concept for us. Over the past 10+ years, we've made deliberate, practical choices about how we work — from going paperless and embracing cloud-based accounting tools like Xero and Dext, to thinking carefully about our environmental footprint as a firm. It's been a journey, and recognition like this reminds us that those consistent, sometimes quiet steps really do add up.
With a number of the team having children of their own, this has really sharpened our focus as a company on what we're building and why. It's hard not to think about the world we're leaving behind when you're raising the next generation. That sense of responsibility — to our clients, our community, and the planet — is very much at the heart of what drives us.
We're gutted that we won't be able to attend the awards ceremony in San Diego in person — clashing with our commitments at the Royal Cornwall Show is very on-brand for a Cornwall-based firm! 😄 But we'll absolutely be cheering on all the finalists across every category from back home.
