📢 Is Your Business Ready for Making Tax Digital (MTD)?
From 6 April 2026, Making Tax Digital (MTD) for Income Tax becomes mandatory for many self-employed individuals and landlords.
Who needs to comply?
✅ Self-employed individuals registered for Self Assessment
✅ Landlords registered for Self Assessment
✅ Those with qualifying gross income over £50,000 from self-employment and/or UK property from April 2026. The threshold then reduces to over £30,000 from April 2027 and over £20,000 from April 2028.
Under MTD, you'll need to:
✔️ Keep digital business records
✔️ Use HMRC-compatible software
✔️ Submit quarterly updates to HMRC
✔️ Complete a final annual declaration
The transition may seem overwhelming, but with the right support, it doesn't have to be.
At M&B Tax Services Ltd, we're here to help you prepare for MTD and make the move to digital reporting as smooth as possible.
