The Tax Laws are changing…
Making Tax Digital (MTD) is fully active, and here’s what you need to know:

MTD for VAT has been in place since April 2019 for businesses with a turnover above the VAT threshold (£85,000). As of April 2022, this has been extended to all VAT-registered businesses, regardless of turnover. Additionally, from April 2026, MTD for Income Tax Self Assessment (ITSA) will apply to unincorporated businesses and landlords with annual income above £50,000, and from 2027 to those earning between £30,000 and £50,000.

This means that businesses must maintain digital records and submit tax returns using compatible software like QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero. If you need assistance making this transition or understanding how MTD affects your business, I can help.
