Proud Daddy Moment!

As a curious 7 year old, Amelia wanted to come to my Platinum Business Connections networking meeting today, to help her understand part of what I do at work.

She stole the show by interrupting my 1 minute pitch to explain that she was my motivation - or 'Amelia Motivation' as she called herself.

She then went on to explain that she makes her own jewellery and sells it. Not only did she win the Mars bar for best pitch, she made 6 sales, earning herself £32.50.

I was so proud of her confidence and the way that she explained what she did to a room full of adults, many of whom she hadn't met before. Then to go on and carefully and clearly explain her pricing and what she charged for each item when people showed an interest.

One of the many benefits of being self employed is being able to spend time and create these opportunities with and for your children.

I also feel very appreciative of the support that everyone in the group showed her as a 7 year old entrepreneur - we all start somewhere 😀
