The Government has confirmed that e-invoicing for VAT invoices will become mandatory from 2029.

For many businesses, invoicing still means creating PDFs, emailing them across and manually entering data at the other end. E-invoicing will automate much of that process, reducing admin, errors and potentially helping businesses get paid faster.

2029 sounds a long way off, but it's another reminder that digital accounting isn't going away. Businesses that embrace technology early are likely to find the transition much easier.
