🚨 MTD for Income Tax – Important Reminder

If you’re self-employed and your annual income is over £50,000, you’ll need to be signed up for Making Tax Digital (MTD) for Income Tax.

From April 2026, HMRC will require eligible self-employed individuals and landlords to:
✔️ Keep digital records
✔️ Submit quarterly updates to HMRC
✔️ File an end-of-year final declaration

📣 New rules coming in April 2026!!

From 6 April 2026, self-employed individuals and landlords with combined income over £50,000 will need to follow Making Tax Digital for Income Tax, which means:

✅ Keeping digital records
✅ Sending quarterly updates of income and expenses to HMRC
✅ Using MTD-compatible software

What this means for you:
If your income is above £50k, you’ll need to switch from annual reporting to quarterly submissions — so it’s worth preparing early.
