Current deposit rates continue to be underwhelmingly low - this therefore makes it much harder to enjoy acceptable interest from your monies.

Excess monies left in deposit accounts can have a hugely negative effect on growing your capital.

Where suitable, this an area that we would advise placing a portion of these monies into an investment. If you believe yourself to be a Low Risk Investor we have suitable products to suit your needs too.

We offer a product that in unique to the market in that it provides you with a Quaterly Bonus Rate - which is currently 3.7% within an ISA and 2.9% in an Investment Bond.

If this product is of interest to you please do get in touch for further information.

At Kliskey IFS we provide an ongoing advice service which includes a specific Annual Review month each year.

Within our Annual Review Report we provide you with the annual returns of the investments you hold and highlight discussion points for our meeting.

Our Annual Review meeting is an opportunity to update us on the past 12 months and any financial changes that may have occurred. We are able to discuss the returns achieved over the past 12 months and confirm that the portfolio is still suitable for you.

Annual Reviews are extremely valuable to clients as they ensure the advice received continues to be appropriate.

If you would like more information on our Annual Review Scheme please get in touch.

Following on from our previous post about the annual ISA Allowance, this week we have turned our focus to Help To Buy ISAs.

Help To Buy ISAs are available to all first time buyers over the age of 16. You can open a Help To Buy ISA with a lump sum or ISA transfer of £1,000 and continue to contribute a maximum of £200 per month.

Once you purchase your first property you will receive the 25% Government Bonus. This Bonus is capped at £3,000 per Help To Buy ISA.

In order to qualify for this bonus the purchase price of your house can be up to £250,000 (£450,000 in London). The property also needs to be purchased with a mortgage.

The Help To Buy ISA is available per person not per household - therefore if you are purchasing a house together and have both maximised your contributions you could receive £6,000 from the Government towards your first home.

Although we do not directly arrange Help To Buy ISAs they are available from a number of banks and building societies. If you would like any more information please do get in touch.

Attitude To Risk (ATR) is how we assess the suitability of an investment for a client. By completing the advice process with us we are able to determine the most appropriate investment for you - we are able to place you into a risk level ranging from 'Low' to 'High'. The information we correlate then allows us to make the correct recommendation for you, taking into account both your ATR and capacity for loss.
