I hope everyone is staying safe and well during the current situation. As I have said previously, we live in unprecedented times. Markets appear to have settled over the last few days and there is a glimmer of hope that the huge falls we have seen have now stabilised. Volatility will still be with us on a day to day basis but the time of reflection and planning is upon us. Markets have recovered this morning on news that the virus is under control and may not be as destructive as the doom merchants have predicted. When we emerge from the lock down and life returns to some semblance of normality we will see the true cost of the situation.
The graphs show the position over the last 10 years and over the last 3 months, and give us an indication and bigger picture of the situation and of investing in general. Key: Green - FTSE 100, Yellow - FTSE All Share, Red - All World (excl Japan)

To all of our clients, please stay safe and well. The events of the last few days and weeks have been unprecedented and this is likely to last some considerable time. After the government guidelines issued on Monday this week, our office is now closed and we are fortunate to be able to work from home. This means that we remain able to discuss the current climate with you as well as receive instructions etc. Rest assured that our dedication and commitment continue as usual.
