Chadwicks Limited

Chadwicks Limited A refreshingly different approach to financial advice – a real interest in what drives you and your business.

We advise businesses at all stages of development but we tend to focus on points of change – typically exits and acquisitions, an area where we have a high level of both knowledge and experience. Much of our work involves helping business owners prepare for retirement - both with conventional pension, investment and tax planning and, more unusually, with readying their business for transfer or sale.

Celebrating two new Citywire New Model Adviser (NMA) awards.

We’re delighted to share that we have received two honours from Citywire’s New Model Adviser magazine, recognition that means a great deal to our whole team.

🏆Top 100 Firm. Six years running.
For the sixth consecutive year, we’ve been named one of Citywire NMA’s Top 100 financial planning firms in the UK. The list highlights firms who demonstrate consistently high standards in advice, governance, client service, and professional development.

🏆Regional Winner. East of England.
We’re also proud to have been awarded the East of England Regional Award, one of only eight regional awards, for the fourth time in the last five years. Regional winners are selected from within the Top 100, making this recognition especially meaningful.

Citywire NMA describes the awards as honouring “some of the best financial planning firms around the country,” with winners chosen using metrics designed by AKG (an independent rating agency) alongside the annual Top 100 assessment. As they note, this year again saw “high‑quality entrants, flying the flag for top financial planning firms.”

🌟What this means for our clients...
Awards aren’t the goal. But they are a welcome reminder that the way we work, thoughtfully, collaboratively, and with a long‑term view, continues to stand out in our profession. Most importantly, they reflect the trust our clients place in us and the commitment our team brings to that responsibility every day.

Thank you from the Chadwicks Team to all our clients, partners, and colleagues for your continued support.

Time to start planning... The 2026 Norfolk & Norwich Festival programme has landed this week.

With over two weeks of entertainment to dive into this May, now is the perfect moment to feast your eyes on what’s in store.

Across the full programme, you’ll find an exciting mix of music, performance, cabaret, dance, and literature, with events taking place in venues and communities across the county.

One standout for us is Crossing The Line, a powerful new production from St George’s Theatre Production. Touring regional venues and supported by the Festival’s Connect & Create programme, this adaptation of Tia Fisher's award‑winning novel explores the devastating impact of county lines.

A bold, timely piece of theatre, and exactly the kind of work that shows why we remain committed to supporting these initiatives and why the Festival is an important part of cultural life in the East.

Dates:

🔸Monday 11th May - St. George's Theatre, Great Yarmouth.
🔸Wednesday 13th May - Sheringham Little Theatre.
🔸Thursday 14th May - Seagull Theatre, Lowestoft.
🔸Monday 18th May - The Corn Hall Diss

What 2025 taught us, and what’s coming next.

Your chance to watch back: Our Reflections & Outlook for 2026.

In this video recap, we bring together the key economic, market and AI themes shaping the year ahead. It highlights the major lessons from 2025 and the early signals influencing both UK and global markets as we move into 2026.

James Bacon explores the global backdrop, from diverging growth across major regions to the forces driving inflation, productivity and interest‑rate expectations.

Alex Meadowcroft cuts through the noise on AI adoption and investment trends, balancing real productivity potential with the risks of speculative excess.

Our guest speaker, Dr James Watson, Associate Professor at the University of East Anglia (UEA), provides a clear UK‑focused outlook covering growth, inflation, fiscal pressures, bond markets and political risk.

A great recap for anyone navigating markets and investment decisions in 2026. If you have any questions or points to raise, we’d love to hear them.

Enjoy!

Alongside our wishes for a brilliant Christmas, we would like to extend a big thank you to all our clients, friends, colleagues, and connections. Your encouragement and trust make everything we do worthwhile.

This year, we're proud to have celebrated some fantastic milestones in the team 🎉

Huy Lee Nguyen became a Chartered Financial Planner and was named in New Model Adviser’s Top 35 under 35.

Angela Brett passed her degree-level Marketing exams, strengthening our communications expertise.

Stirling Watt continues to progress on his journey into advice.
Clare Montgomery joined us to lead digital transformation, launching our brand-new website. Do take a look over the Christmas break!

We also welcomed back Alex Meadowcroft, now a fully-fledged adviser after completing his Economics degree and professional exams.

Further thanks go to Angela Adams (Photographer), who patiently photographed us and captured our new team photos this year. And to JMJ Digital Agency, Jason Hubbard, Simon Griffith, and Pete Baker, who worked with us to refresh our website, making it clearer, smoother, and more personal.

And finally, we've enjoyed our partnerships with both Norfolk & Norwich Festival- we look forward to a programme of activities in 2026 and Art Fair East - which is where our choice of Christmas Card was spotted this year - feast your "Mince Pies" on this joyful artwork from local artist Julia Tooley Art.

Wishing you all a wonderful, restful festive break!

Celebrating Next Generation Talent in Financial Planning!

We congratulate Huy Lee Nguyen, who has been recognised in the Citywire New Model Adviser’s Top 35 Next Generation Advisers.

Showcasing the very best financial planners in the UK aged 35 and under.
Now in its 10th year, the list highlights advisers who have;

🔸Invested in their own professional development through qualifications.
🔸Driven firm growth through innovation and outstanding client service.
🔸Made an impact beyond advice, contributing to the wider profession.

We’re proud to see our team’s talent recognised, equally proud to remember that Radostina Dencheva achieved the same honour back in 2021.

Well done, team!

A date for your diary: Thursday 27th November.

Thank you, Adam Barker, for the mention in today’s EDP 24.

The Autumn Budget will be delivered on 26th November, and within 24 hours, we’ll be sharing insights from the announcements, expected to focus on tax increases aimed at filling the £40bn public finances ‘black hole’.

Speculation is swirling around potential changes to Inheritance Tax thresholds, reliefs for business assets, and pension treatment. Business owners may face tighter rules on succession planning.

👉What this means for business owners…
If you’re a company director, entrepreneur, or family business owner, now’s the time to review your tax position. From succession planning to estate structuring, the Budget could reshape how you protect and pass on your wealth.

This event is held in partnership with EEEGR (East of England Energy Group) at Great Yarmouth Town Hall.

Blending silliness with seriousness.

Last night, we hosted a private screening of MONSTERS, a 30-minute short film commissioned for the 2025 Norfolk & Norwich Festival. Created by and starring children from across East Anglia, working with four primary schools across East Anglia (Gladstone Primary (Peterborough), Rushmere Primary (Ipswich), Somerleyton Primary (Lowestoft), and Sheringham Community Primary (North Norfolk), the project invited groups of 10 –12 Key Stage 2 pupils (ages 7 – 11) to co-create this fictional documentary.

A post-apocalyptic fairy tale that explores survival, change, and uncertainty when Monsters invade! (...what they might do, how they might survive - heartwarming, funny and incredibly powerful)

Huge thanks to everyone who joined us and Alexandra Anslow, Festival Connect & Create Senior Producer, for sharing the story behind MONSTERS, how it came to life, and why it matters.

Adding a twist to the bar, Louisa Grant hosted us at Flint Vineyard BikeBar! Loved it & perfect centrepiece for our evening.

We’ve proudly partnered with the Norfolk & Norwich Festival for many years, and more recently, we’ve been supporting the brilliant Connect & Create Programme, a joy to be part of something that sparks ambition in young people!
