Just a little reminder that this month is incredibly busy for all of our team members. We're not ignoring you, we just can't get to the phone or messages/emails as quickly as we'd like at this time of year.

If you've dropped off your records, thank you, we're working through jobs in order that they were received, so we'll update you as soon as we can.

If you haven't given us your info yet, please don't leave it much longer - the later we receive things, the less likely we are to meet the filing deadline 🙏🏻

POTENTIAL FRAUD - We are currently dealing with a case of a stolen VAT number, a complex situation where someone else has linked our client's VAT number to their own HMRC online account, effectively freezing the client out of their own VAT number. This means the third party can now submit fraudulent refund claims in the name of our client.

Unfortunately this is not an isolated incident, we are seeing numerous reported cases across the country, sadly HMRC seem to be doing very little to rectify this.

We strongly recommend, if you haven't already, to set up your HMRC Government Gateway (separate ones for personal and business) and link all of your taxes to it. Once the tax is linked it cannot be stolen by a third party.

As with everything these days, your taxes are most easily dealt with online, so please make sure you have access to your own.
