Just a quick reminder that Dawn and I will be out of the office and will be back on 7th May 🌴

We mentioned this last week in an email, but wanted to pop another note out so it’s fresh in everyone’s mind. Sophia will be holding the fort on a skeleton basis, so if anything urgent crops up, she’ll be there to help.

Thanks for your patience while we’re away, we’ll pick everything up as soon as we’re back 👍

20/04/2026

📢 Just a quick heads-up!

We’ll be taking a short break, so the office will be closed from 12 noon on Friday 24th April, reopening on Thursday 7th May.

Sophia will still be holding the fort while we’re away 💪 She’ll be working remotely for most of the time (with the odd visit into the office) and will be available during normal hours 9:00am – 5:00pm.

If there’s anything urgent before we close, just drop us a message and we’ll get it sorted.

Thanks as always for your support - speak soon!

Happy Easter...

Most businesses don’t have a sales problem… They have a system problem.

No consistent way of bringing enquiries in.
No clear plan for converting them.No structure behind the numbers.

So growth feels random.

Business owners need to put simple systems in place so things start working on purpose:

• A steady flow of the right enquiries
• Better conversion (without pressure selling)
• Clear numbers to track what’s working
• A business that’s built to grow - not just cope

Because when the right systems are in place, everything becomes easier to manage… and easier to scale.

Most new businesses don’t fail because they’re bad at what they do.

They fail because they don’t know how to get customers.

No customers = no business.

I see this all the time.

People build websites…
set up social media…
design logos…

…but still have no one paying them.

If you’re in that position right now, you’re not alone.

You’ve just not been shown a simple way to get customers yet.

I love helping clients, advice, appeals, contracts, problem-solving.

But months later, I get: “What if I do this?” or “How does that affect this?”, and, "Can you just do this?"

Sorry, but… you don’t pay once and get an unlimited service forever. It’s like buying a tin of beans in Tesco, eating them, then popping back months later asking for a few more beans for free.

Advice isn’t endless. Need more? Book a follow-up

I often hear:
“I don’t have a printer, can I just…?”

And yes, I know everyone’s going paperless.
But some things still need printing, signing, scanning, or posting.

Without one, it usually means delays, missed deadlines, and avoidable stress.

Running a business means being set up properly, and that still includes a printer.

Small tools. Big difference.

There are three words that, over time, can quietly damage any business.

“Can you just…”

They are usually asked with the best of intentions and often sound like a simple favour. To one person, it might feel like a ten minute job with little value attached to it.

The reality is very different.

When those small requests are added up across a client base of around 400, they amount to more than 30 hours every month spent on work that is not planned, priced, or accounted for. That is a full working week every month.

Over a year, that becomes 12 weeks. In other words, three months of work.

Very few people would choose to work three months of the year for free, yet this is exactly what happens when “can you just” tasks become the norm rather than the exception.

Our aim is always to be helpful and supportive, but like any well-run business, time needs to be managed properly so it can be focused on delivering value where it truly matters.

This is just an insight into how small, well-meaning requests can have a big impact when multiplied.
