Feedback like this always makes us do a Happy Dance and I think relates to any small business owner!

' I can’t recommend SF Accounts highly enough. Liz explained everything clearly and guided me through each step in simple terms, which made such a difference as I’m still fairly new to business. Nothing ever felt overwhelming or rushed – she took the time to make sure I fully understood what was needed and why.

The service provided was professional, responsive and supportive and I genuinely feel confident knowing my accounts are in safe hands. If you’re a small or medium sized business looking for an approachable, knowledgeable accountant who really cares about their clients, I would definitely recommend SF Accounts'

Running a small business isn't just a job.

One day you're meeting clients.
The next you're managing cash flow.
Then you're handling marketing, operations, recruitment, compliance and everything in between.

Behind every successful SME is a business owner wearing multiple hats, making difficult decisions and working hard to build something meaningful.

As we approach Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Day (27 June), we'd like to recognise the resilience, determination and passion of the business owners we work with every day.

Because while large corporations often make the headlines, it's SMEs that form the backbone of our economy, create local jobs and help communities thrive.

To all the business owners out there: what's one lesson you've learned this year that has helped your business grow?

11/06/2026

We're almost halfway through the year.

How is your business really doing?

Do you know:
- How much tax you need to set aside?
- If you can afford that new piece of equipment?
- Whether now is the right time to employ a member of staff?
- If you're paying yourself in the most tax-efficient way?

These are questions many SME owners face, and sometimes it can be difficult trying to work everything out on your own.

That's where a Business Health Check can help.

Our tailored, one-to-one sessions give you the opportunity to step back, review where your business is now and identify opportunities for the months ahead.

Whether you need advice on growth, tax planning, cash flow or profitability, we'll help you create a clear plan of action.

Did you know?

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) make up 99.9% of all UK businesses and employ over 60% of the private sector workforce.

They're the coffee shops on our high streets, the tradespeople keeping our homes running, the consultants helping businesses grow, and the family-run companies serving their local communities.

Yet many SME owners face increasing challenges:
- Rising costs
- Cash flow pressures
- Regulatory changes
- Finding time to work on the business rather than in it

As we approach Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Day on 27 June, we're taking a moment to recognise the incredible contribution SMEs make to our economy and communities every day.

If you own or work in an SME, what has been your biggest challenge or biggest win so far this year?

This event isn’t about having all the answers, it’s about creating a relaxed space where people can ask questions, share experiences and realise they’re not the only ones figuring things out.

Come along, enjoy the music and leave feeling a little more confident.

Our networking event is on Tuesday 16th June at The White Hut in Cwmbran between 2pm and 4pm.

There will be cake, coffee and tea and the bar is also open if you fancy a beverage whilst chilling to the music of PITBrass Live Band.
