Newport Town Council’s annual Christmas Card Competition is now open!
We’re inviting all Primary School-aged children (living in OR attending school in Newport) to create this year’s official design. 🎨🖌️

🌟 The overall winner will have the magical job of turning on Newport’s Christmas Lights!
🎭 Winners from each age group will also receive family tickets to see Treasure Island at the pantomime.

Here at Robert Nicholas Financial Advisers Ltd we are going to tackle the ultimate Ironman challenge on Saturday 10th May, pushing ourselves through a gruelling combination of swimming, cycling, and running—all to raise money for Severn Hospice, a cause close to our hearts and in the community. Three participants will take on a leg of the challenge, using their combined efforts to complete a full Ironman distance of:

2.4 miles (3.86 km) Swim 🏊
112 miles (180.25 km) Bike Ride 🚴‍♂️
26.2 miles (42.2 km) Run 🏃‍♀️

We would be grateful of any donations and support to such a great cause!

Newport Town Council's Annual Christmas Card Competition is back!

Sponsored by Robert Nicholas Financial Advisers Ltd and Bod Newport, the Christmas Card Competition is open to all primary school aged children living in, or attending school within the parish of Newport.

Children can design and decorate the card in any way they like and that best showcases their view on the festivities. The winning entries from each category will be printed for use as the mayors official 2024 Christmas Cards.

The winner of each category will receive a printed pack of their Christmas cards and be invited to meet the mayor presentation event on the evening of the Christmas Lights Switch-On, which this year will take place on Friday the 22nd of November. They will also receive a family ticket to see Nova Panto Group - Shropshire Pantomime Group’s Cinderella in February half term. And the overall winner of the competition will switch on the Town’s Christmas lights.

All entries will be displayed in the Newport Town Council window.

The Town Council would love for all the children living in or going to primary school in Newport to get involved and we are looking forward to seeing some amazing creations again this year!
