Leaving behind the world of tarot, psychic readings, and mediumship wasn’t a decision made overnight—it was a sudden, earth-shattering realization that completely reshaped reality. Back in 2019, my life revolved around spiritual development. Days were filled with 1:1 client sessions, mediumship classes, and guiding others through what seemed like light and truth. But behind the scenes, a quiet, persistent whisper began to break through the noise. It was the Holy Spirit, urging one simple command over and over: Read the Bible.
Stepping away from familiar practices is terrifying, especially when entire identities and livelihoods are built around them. For a long time, spirit guides felt like a peace of heaven, offering wisdom and comfort. But truth demands testing. Standing in faith and testing those spirits in the name of Jesus Christ exposed to me what was truly operating behind the curtain. What I once believed to be pure light was revealed to be something deeply deceptive and dark.
When my eyes were opened to the truth, the life built around old practices, my psychic and mediumship skills began to fall away fast:
Friends, clients, and communities built in the New Age space didn’t understand my sudden exit.
Stripping away years of false beliefs leaves a raw, uncomfortable void.
Getting rid of all the new age purchase’s leaves a void. The tarot cards, crystals, angel cards, statues, spell candles, and books!
Trading spiritual experiences for the unchanging Word of God feels heavy at first, especially when spiritual attacks come at rapid fire pace and at all hours.
But this brings undeniable clarity and further awareness to what is really going on.
Transitioning out of New Age practices and mediumship is one of the hardest journeys anyone can take, but you are not alone. The disorientation, the fear of what you left behind, and the grief over lost relationships are real. Yet, God’s Word acts as a lamp to the feet in the darkest parts of the shift.
Every old belief that crumbles makes room for genuine peace—not a manufactured high from spiritual practices, but a grounded, lasting freedom. If you are a reader, psychic, or practitioner starting to feel that nudge in your spirit, trust it. The journey through the wilderness is tough, but the truth on the other side is worth every single sacrifice.
