As Mental Health Awareness Week reminds us, checking in with people can make more of a difference than we realise. A simple “How are you really doing?” can open the door to support, connection, and understanding.

In fast-paced working environments, it’s easy to focus on deadlines, targets, and responsibilities while forgetting the importance of protecting our wellbeing. Taking breaks, setting boundaries, asking for help, and supporting each other should never feel like weaknesses, they are essential.

Be kind to yourself. Be kind to others. You never truly know what someone may be carrying behind the scenes.

Let’s continue creating spaces where people feel safe to speak openly and seek support without judgement.

🇮🇪 BIG changes are here for employers in Ireland 👇

Ireland’s new auto-enrolment pension scheme, MyFutureFund, officially launched on 1 January 2026.

Eligible employees will now be automatically enrolled into a pension scheme, with contributions coming from:

✔ Employees
✔ Employers
✔ The Irish Government

This is a major step forward for workplace pensions, but also an important payroll and compliance update for businesses across Ireland.

Looking forward to today’s North West 42 Under 42 roundtable in Manchester, hosted by Simon Keegan.

Proud to be part of the 42 Under 42 network, originally recognised by Business Insider, a fantastic initiative celebrating some of the region’s most exciting business talent over the past 30 years.

We’ll be diving into an important topic: empowering the next generation of leaders.

What I’m most looking forward to is the openness in the room, sharing not just the wins, but the challenges, pivots, and lessons learned along the way. From navigating uncertainty to planning what’s next, these conversations are where real value is created.

If we want stronger future leaders, we need to be more transparent about the journey, what works, what doesn’t, and what we’d do differently.
