I remember a trade that never gave me an entry.
The setup looked perfect.
Price was moving exactly where I expected it to go, and I could feel the fear of missing out building inside me.
I wanted to enter early.
I wanted to chase the market.
I wanted to convince myself that this time it would work.
But my rules said otherwise.
So I waited.
The market moved without me and eventually reached my target zone without giving the confirmation I needed.
At first, I was frustrated.
I kept thinking about the profit I could have made.
But then I realized something important:
Discipline isn't proven when you win.
Discipline is proven when you refuse to break your rules.
That missed trade taught me more than many winning trades ever did.
A missed opportunity can always come back.
A blown account often doesn't.
Since then, I stopped measuring success by the trades I take.
I measure success by how well I follow my plan.
Because in trading, consistency beats emotion every single time.
