Christmas Eve, or Wigilia, is the heart of the holiday season in Poland. The day is spent in the kitchen preparing a traditional, meatless supper featuring dishes like barszcz (beetroot soup) with dumplings, pierogi, and fish. Families sit down for the meal when the first star appears in the sky, sharing the opłatek wafer and heartfelt wishes before eating. The evening ends with exchanging presents and, often, attending midnight mass (Pasterka), marking a day filled with love, tradition, and togetherness.

Wishing you all a magical Christmas Eve filled with joy, love, and a little bit of sparkle.
