It's been a bit of a crazy year.
As some of you will have noticed, I haven't posted in quite a while, although I have still been avidly working away in the background!
Last year saw me finding out I was pregnant in early April, losing my Dad several weeks later, and then finally bringing gorgeous Freddie into the world in November. And, bar immediately after the birth, I've worked through it all.
When people talk about work life balance, the assumption is often that too much work is bad, and if you run your own business, the aim is to work as few hours as possible for the most money, with a view to stepping back and letting others run the day to day for you. But what if you love your work? I'm neurodiverse, and my work is one of my special interests. I love being a mum, and I'm constantly on the go, but I get bored easily, so I need something that I can get my teeth into, and that challenges my brain.
Throughout this year, my work has got me through some difficult times, and being so hands on means that I've built relationships with my clients that have allowed me the flexibility and breathing space that I've needed at time over this past year. It's also meant that I've been able to embrace all of the best bits of being a mum, while continuing to build my business. It's also given me the freedom to spend so many hours at gymnastics training with Freya with her biggest (and littlest!) fan Freddie with me!
I can't promise I'll start posting everyday, but I'm planning to be more present on my socials over the coming months, and I look forward to catching up on what everyone else has been up to while i've been away!
I also want to say a massive thank you to all of my fantastic clients who've continued to place their trust in me and been so supportive during such a tricky year. You all know who you are! I look forward to many more years of working with you all.
