What does a financial adviser actually do? 🤔
You've read my advice and tips, but you may be curious about what kind of hands-on work I do for clients each month. 👀
Financial advice can sometimes feel a little abstract, but each week I help real people with real questions and real goals. Here's a round up of the past few weeks...
The last month has been mortgage heavy. I've helped clients with all sorts of mortgages for different situations, from securing mortgage products for first time landlords that want to let on a multiple occupancy basis, to helping applicants with some blips on their credit report find a lender at the best possible rate. 📊
My favourite has been working with a client who wants to raise capital on her main residence with the intention of letting her flat - she was after advice on the implications of gifting or selling her main residence to a limited company. 🏡 The client also wanted to explore the most tax efficient way to structure her growing property portfolio, taking into consideration how she can pass her estate on to her daughter, again in the most tax efficient way possible. 🧮
Things can get very expensive if you don’t consider all the tax implications with tricky transactions like this one. Complex cases such as this normally involve consulting with...

A financial adviser can make daunting tasks like this much less stressful, and help you make decisions that will work well long term. 🌎
And on a personal level, I find the work I do with all my clients immensely fulfilling. It's very rewarding to help people take control of their finances and make the very most of their situation. 😊
