What a week!

My office definitely feels neglected, but I have definatley enjoyed being out and about meeting people both new and old.

This week as taken me from from Bournemouth to London and a few places in between.

The best thing about my job is finding out what people hopes and dreams for the future are and knowing that i can have a real impact on them achieving the future they want.

Since i have started to work for myself one thing that I have struggled with is holidays.

When do you take a break when you are the company? It takes a conscious effort and planning to be able to step a way from it all for a few days. Last week I did just that. I made a decision that I wasn't going to burn myself out and I was going to take a break. Building a business is a marathon not a sprint and when you are the business you have to make sure you look after yourself. Last weeks break at Centre Parcs was needed. The big takeaway is that you need to look after your business assets for your business to perform. Many business owners forget that includes them. Do yourselves a favour and take a break, your future self will thank you.

I love networking but today was a little different. A 4.5km walk in the New Forest followed by cake and coffee at Rhinefield House. It was certainly a change from the cooked breakfast I am becoming used to but it was fantastic to be out and about in nature. It certainly didn’t do my step count any harm either.
