🚴 Elgin to Dornoch by bike. 94 miles. £2,000 for charity! 🙌
David completed his fundraising challenge - and what a ride it was!

⛈️ There was torrential rain, hitches with the technology, plenty of hills and a seriously strong headwind to contend with.

😂 Thankfully, there was also plenty of coffee and a well-timed sausage and egg roll from Winnie in Nairn!

🚴🏻Despite the conditions, David kept pushing, inspired by the important work of our chosen charity, Friends of the Oaks.

🙏🏻A huge thank you to everyone who donated, shared, encouraged and cheered David on.

🧡 And a special thank you to Amber River C&M's charity champion, Charlotte, who helped turn David's 'slightly silly idea' into something that will make a genuine difference.

So, after all those miles, hills, rain and wind…
David’s official finishing time was…
⏱️ 6 hours, 31 minutes and 45 seconds!

🏆Congratulations to supporter Colin Welsh for correctly predicting the ride! Colin wins £100!

But David's not quite finished yet…

🇦🇹This ride, from Elgin to Dornoch, was preparation for an international cycling challenge next month, as David rides from Vienna to Budapest, a distance of around 200 miles! 🇭🇺

🥇On Sunday, 27th September, these five amazing women are taking on the Baxters River Ness 10k Corporate Challenge!

Entering a team for this popular event was the idea of Rachel, our newest mortgage adviser in the Lossie office.

A keen runner herself, Rachel hoped to find three others to join her, but was thrilled when four colleagues came forward, including her mum, Emma, who only started running last year!

🚴‍♂️ Predict the ride! And win £100!

Amber River C&M Managing Director, David McConachie. has been pedalling his way towards an ambitious three-day charity bike ride, cycling from Vienna to Budapest later this year.

To help with his preparation, David has set himself a personal challenge, and if you help him on his way, you could be in with a chance to win £100!

🚴‍♀️ This Friday, David will cycle solo from Elgin to Dornoch, a distance of around 96 miles and will be raising funds for our chosen charity, Friends of the Oaks, as he goes.

The route heads north via back roads and includes a ferry crossing. Not only that, it's mostly into the prevailing wind!

⏱️But! How long will the ride take? What do you think?

⛳ Could you sink a putt blindfolded?! 😎🏌️‍♂️

💧There was plenty of fun and friendly competition at our Summer Splash charity event in Perth last week!

☀️The team enjoyed a delicious lunch, some sunshine and a few rounds of putting on the course — all while raising funds for Friends of the Oaks. 💙

🏆 Congratulations to Ray Faherty, winner of the putting competition, and to Derek Adam and Simon Hunter, who took the win in the blindfold putting challenge! 👏
