Last week I had the pleasure of delivering the weekly feature presentation to my BNI chapter BNI ICENI. The presentation was featured around why I became a financial adviser, the type of people I help and awareness that it’s never too late to start planning for your future.

I’m extremely excited to share that I’m starting a new position as a Wealth Management Partner at True Potential

Following four rewarding years at MD Wealth Management, where I developed strong expertise in holistic financial planning, earned my diploma and worked with clients planning for/achieving their goals. This move allows me to concentrate fully on delivering clear, honest, and jargon-free advice tailored to each client’s individual circumstances.

I am grateful for the foundation built so far and look forward to continuing this work with the support of True Potential’s leading technology and resources.

A new year is a reminder to stop, pause, reflect and to enjoy the moment. Revieiwng how your year went in the past and how you want your new year to be.

2025 was a big year for me, as it was the first full year of being a dad, moving to our new home, hitting milestones and growing with my clients. 2026 will be another amazing year of growth, personally and professionally, and of course more challenges to overcome!

Happy New Year to all my connections, friends, clients, family and those of which I’m still to meet! My family’s New Year’s Day tradition is to take a morning walk along the beach to see the seals on the Norfolk coast.

As the year comes to a close, I’d like to say a sincere thank you to everyone who has supported me throughout the year. Your trust, conversations and encouragement have meant a great deal.

I’m grateful for the relationships built and the opportunities to help make a positive difference. There are too many people to name directly, but I truly value every single person who has helped shape a brilliant 2025.

On Saturday our team at MD Wealth Management Ltd opened our office to support the Long Stratton Christmas Event. We ran a Photo Booth for residents to take festive photos and to create memories. With plenty of laughs, silly photos and joy.

We were raising money for the local Bike Active charity, supporting a great cause and getting involved within our local community.

What a great way to end the week!

2025 Autumn Budget, What the Numbers Mean for Your Financial Planning

From April 2027, the annual cash ISA allowance will drop from £20,000 to £12,000 for cash ISA savers. The remaining £8,000 can be used for stocks and shares ISA's. The cash ISA change is for those under age 65.

The government will keep income-tax thresholds frozen until 2031. This means that as wages rise, more people could end up in higher tax bands over time.

From April 2026, tax on dividends, savings and property income rises by 2 percentage points.

From April 2029, salary-sacrifice pension contributions that benefit from National Insurance relief will be capped at £2,000. Higher contributions will no longer get the same tax benefit.

These changes underline why it pays to stay informed.

With the Budget approaching, there’s always a lot of noise, predictions and speculation.

The reality is simple: until the Budget has been announced, nothing is certain. Any early preemptive measures could cause more harm than good.

Once the details are clear, we can review, plan, and make any adjustments needed based on facts.

Staying focused and measured always beats rushing to react!
