A margin call triggers when market losses reduce your account equity below the minimum threshold required to keep trades open.

When you receive a margin call, you must take immediate action:

Deposit Additional Funds: Top up your account to bring your equity back above required levels.

Close Positions: Manually close one or more trades to reduce your overall required margin.

If you take no action and losses continue, your broker will reach the stop-out level and automatically begin closing your positions to limit further capital loss.

When people hear the word risk, they often think of losing money.

But there’s another type of risk that gets talked about far less: doing nothing.

Keeping cash in a savings account can feel safe, but if inflation outpaces your returns, your money gradually loses purchasing power over time.

Investing isn’t about chasing quick wins or taking reckless bets. It’s about understanding your goals, choosing a level of risk you’re comfortable with, and building a strategy that works for you over the long term.

Your banking app might have a sleek design.

But good design doesn’t automatically mean your money is working towards your goals.

Saving and investing each have a role to play. Cash can help cover short-term needs and emergencies, while investing may help you work towards long-term growth.

The important question isn’t where your money sits, it’s what job it’s doing.

Your money works hard to earn. Why not give it the opportunity to work for you too?

For many people, saving is where their financial journey begins. Investing can be the next step for money that isn’t needed in the short term.

The key isn’t choosing one over the other, it’s understanding the role each plays in your financial plan.

Keeping your money safe is important.

But there’s a difference between protecting your money and helping it grow.

Over time, inflation can reduce what your cash is able to buy, which is why many people choose to invest as part of a long-term financial plan.

Finding the right balance between saving and investing depends on your goals, your timeline and the level of risk you’re comfortable taking.
