I found myself in a group of people yesterday, talking to a woman I had only known very superficially before.
We were discussing a practice that involves a significant load on the digestive system, and she said:
— I’m not sure I’ll be able to do it. I have very severe IBS.
I asked her:
— Would you want to get rid of it?
She answered immediately:
— Yes. Absolutely.
And that’s when the conversation started to go deeper.
I use different tools in my way of observing people.
Astrology.
Energy practices.
Yoga.
Observation of the body.
And the way I feel a person’s energetic field.
I do not make medical diagnoses.
I look at internal connections.
And within the system of knowledge I study, digestive issues, breathing problems, allergies, chronic inflammatory reactions are often viewed as manifestations of a deep internal disconnection.
When the body remembers one thing.
The psyche represses another.
And the rational mind tells a third story altogether.
I asked her:
— Do you also have allergies? Reactions to pollen? Sinus issues? Breathing problems?
She was surprised.
Because yes.
She suffers from all of that too.
Then I asked about her relationship with her mother.
And she said a phrase I remember very clearly:
— I worship my mother.
Not “I love her.”
Not “We’re close.”
But specifically worship.
And in that moment I felt a very clear internal split.
Because a child’s psyche cannot easily hold complexity.
If a child is emotionally dependent on the mother, the psyche will often not allow the child to simultaneously feel love, anger, resentment, disappointment, attachment, and emotional need.
Something gets pushed away.
Especially if there was conflict, tension, or emotional instability in the family system.
And then a very interesting process begins.
The child grows up.
Years pass.
Decades.
The conscious mind creates a logical story about the family.
Loyalty appears.
Rationalisation.
Explanation.
“Mother is sacred.”
“Father was the problem.”
“That’s just how it was.”
But the body often continues to hold what the psyche once could not bear. 👇🏻
