Is your in-house payroll compliant?
Compliance is one of the most important challenges for payroll and HR departments. Whether you manage payroll in-house or outsource it, there are still regulatory considerations.
For in-house payroll, you have the advantage that you’re not sharing any employee information with a third party. That makes it a lot simpler to comply with the GDPR, for example.
And it gives you more control of how your confidential employee data is stored and managed – making it easier to respond to requests for information (RFIs).
However, for companies still managing details in unsophisticated or outdated payroll tools, there can be gaps and inefficiencies that are worth addressing. For example, there may be a higher risk of inaccuracy, missing information, or lack of security, and therefore non-compliance. These risks can be mitigated fairly easily with a more modern system.
