Rachel Reeves delivered her first Budget as Chancellor of the Exchequer on 30 October 2024. This was the first Labour Budget in 15 years. Labelled “Fixing the Foundations to Deliver Change” the Budget aims to deal with the £22 billion ‘black hole’ in public finances whilst restoring stability and rebuilding public services.
Employers will bear the brunt of the £40bn in tax rises unveiled yesterday by Reeves - the biggest increase in a generation.
