Clean Energy Fund Deal Room
Wednesday 27th May
The Mulberry, Conwy, LL32 8GU
10.00am - 3.00pm. Maximum of 4 sessions.

The £24.6m Clean Energy Fund (CEF), aims to support North Wales clean energy projects.

The focus of the CEF is to enable businesses to access sustainable, accessible finance in order to achieve 3 distinct aims:

Ensuring compliance with PPN (WPPN) 006, therefore allowing access supply chains now and in the future.
Giving businesses the option to decarbonise operations via electrification, particularly with heavy machinery.
Businesses across the UK remain at the whim of international events, which have a disproportionate impact on energy prices. Investment in sustainable hyperlocal generation can mitigate the impact felt by the international energy markets, thus giving businesses an element of control over their outgoings.
UMi, in collaboration with its partners, will be running the inaugural Clean Energy Fund (CEF) DealRoom event for Conwy Businesses on 27 May 26 at The Mulberry, Conwy.

The DealRoom is a structured investment forum that aims to accelerate high quality clean energy projects across North Wales.

It creates a pathway for businesses seeking investment to access a responsible lender, whilst focusing on their own operational efficiencies and energy security.

If you would like to attend or would like more information about the Deal Room, please contact:

Matt Popple - Partnerships & Project Manager

New Online Learning on Modern Slavery

Modern slavery is the exploitation of people for personal or commercial gain. It has a devastating impact on people's lives across Wales, the UK, and the world.

Anti-Slavery Wales Online Learning is intended for people living and working in Wales. We particularly encourage those working and volunteering in settings with high modern slavery risks, and those engaging with people who may be experiencing or have experienced exploitation, to complete the learning.

Anti-Slavery Wales Online Learning has three modules to help you learn about exploitation in Wales:

Module 1 : Introduction to Modern Slavery
Module 2 : Identifying Signs of Modern Slavery
Module 3 : Safeguarding Victims and Survivors of Modern Slavery
This online learning has been developed by the Welsh Government and multi-agency partners. The content has been reviewed by members of the Anti-Slavery Wales Forum and its Training and Awareness Group and the Human Trafficking Foundation's Lived Experience Advisory Panel (LEAP). It should be considered alongside the Wales Safeguarding Procedures.

This learning can be completed at your own pace. You can take breaks when you want. Once you have completed each module, there is a Certificate of Participation and Module Summary that can be kept for your records.
