Sometimes, the clearest way forward is to stop going round in circles and have the right conversation.

We recently had a situation where phone and video calls weren’t quite getting to the root of what was needed.

There was confusion around what the client expected from their management accounts, what the board needed to see, and what information would actually be useful.

So, when it became clear that a proper face-to-face discussion would make the difference, we made that happen.

That meeting helped clarify:

A receipt, invoice or payment can be much quicker to deal with when we know what it relates to.

Keeping accurate records is an important part of managing your business finances.

When claiming business expenses, make sure you keep the supporting receipt, invoice, or digital confirmation.
