The SROI Network We are a leading international social enterprise, owned by our members with the aim of changing the way society accounts for value.

Social Return on Investment (SROI) is a framework for measuring and accounting for the value created or destroyed by our activities - where the concept of value is much broader than that which can be captured by market prices. SROI seeks to reduce inequality and environmental degradation and improve wellbeing by taking account of this broader value. It is based on a set of principles which can be

applied at different levels of rigour to help make resource allocation decisions that, on balance, increase equality and well being. SROI involves stakeholders to identify and value what matters to them, thereby aiming to move towards greater transparency and accountability. This gives a voice to those who often have little or no ability to hold organisations to account.
