Gary, Lisa and David enjoyed a lovely afternoon out yesterday at the Southend Networking Group at The Royal Hotel.

These events are always a great chance to catch up with local contacts, meet new people and keep building relationships across the Southend business community.

Lisa and Gary also had the chance to catch up with Edward Garston from Spencer West, who was sponsoring the event.

We're buzzing about this latest deal completion 🐝

When Natalie Catino, Managing Director of Queen Bee’s Day Nursery Ltd, was looking to take the next step in the nursery’s growth. Barrons was pleased to be able to step in with expertise and support for the development of her plan.

With Andrew’s knowledge of her business, he was aware of Barrons external financial contacts and was able to speak to Jason Falkingham from Commercial Sense for an initial conversation.

Andrew was then able to liaise with Jason Falkingham to provide quarterly management accounts in a timely and efficient manner in order to obtain the financing requirements.

As part of the growth planning, Natalie was seeking funding to purchase the business premises and invest in the long-term future of Queen Bee.
With the help of Barrons tax experts – Russell, Steven and Andrew, they were able to set up a new company to ensure the most tax-efficient way of purchasing the building.

Barrons team and Jason worked closely with Natalie throughout the process, with Jason Falkingham reviewing the finance market, securing a competitive Commercial Mortgage and supporting Natalie through the wider conversations with banks, solicitors and other parties involved.

The purchase has now successfully completed, marking an exciting new chapter for Queen Bee’s Day Nursery.

Looks like the skydive team has a new recruit… 🪂

Our very own Andy has decided to take on the challenge and will be joining Gary and Jane for the skydive on 19th September, all in support of the MND Foundation.

With the jump getting closer, we’re also getting closer to our fundraising target, but we still need a little help to get us over the line!

We’ve been blown away by the support so far, and every donation really does make a difference. So, if you’d like to show Andy some support (or you simply think jumping out of a plane deserves a donation!), you can help us get one step closer to our goal.

Barrons Day Out!

We are today at the Hadleigh & Thundersley Cricket Club - getting involved in the silent auction to catching up with some fantastic local businesses, it’s been a great day all round.

We always love supporting our local community, especially when there’s plenty of fun involved.

We have also got something exciting for our clients… so keep your eyes peeled! 👀

Over 100 practice questions later... our apprentice Ray has passed his first professional exam on the first attempt! 🎉

A huge congratulations to Ray on reaching this milestone in his qualification journey.

We know this didn't happen by chance. The evenings spent revising after work, the dedicated "revision Sundays", and all the hard work behind the scenes have certainly paid off.

With seven exams left, Ray is now halfway there, and we're excited to see what's next. Here's to many more successes along the way!

Next stop: Assurance, Risk and Reporting... no pressure, Ray! Best of luck – we'll all be cheering you on.
