The Role
As a Semi Senior Accountant, you will support senior staff in managing a portfolio of clients while developing your technical and professional skills. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to progress their career within a supportive and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Preparation of statutory accounts for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships
• Preparation of VAT returns and management accounts
• Assisting with corporation tax computations and personal tax returns
• Liaising with clients and responding to queries
• Maintaining accurate financial records and working papers
• Assisting junior team members where required
Requirements
• AAT qualified or ACA/ACCA part-qualified
• Minimum 2–4 years’ experience within a UK accountancy practice
• Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards and tax regulations
• Experience with accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines
Desirable
• Experience in practice
• Familiarity with cloud-based accounting systems
