DIRECTORS VERIFICATION... 👋 A quick reminder for Company Directors and PSCs (Persons with Significant Control)

If you're currently trying to complete your Companies House identity verification and finding yourself going round in circles, you're certainly not alone!

We've already spoken to a number of people (including non clients) who have experienced issues with the online verification process, from technical errors to difficulties getting documents accepted.

The good news? Mr Tax is registered as an Authorised Corporate Service Provider (ACSP), which means we can verify your identity on behalf of Companies House.

And here's the important bit... ✅ You do NOT need to be an existing client. ✅

Whether you already have an accountant, complete your own accounts, or simply need help with identity verification, we're happy to assist.

Sometimes it's quicker, easier and a lot less frustrating to have someone guide you through the process.

🚗 Mileage Allowance Increase — What You Need to Know

Good news for employees and business owners who use their own vehicle for work purposes 👇

The approved mileage allowance is set to increase from 45p to 55p per mile for the first 10,000 business miles travelled during the tax year.

It’s important to remember this applies to business travel only — not normal commuting to and from your regular workplace.

For anyone regularly travelling between appointments, visiting clients, attending meetings or working across multiple sites, the increase could make a noticeable difference over the course of the year.

As always, keeping accurate mileage records remains essential if you plan to make a claim.
