💼 The 2025 Budget - What It Means for You
You may have seen the headlines... but now the detail is here, and it’s significant. Key changes include:
• A freeze on income-tax thresholds (2028/29) — likely to push more people into higher rate tax bands.
• From April 2029: salary-sacrifice pension contributions over £2,000 may attract National Insurance.
• From 2028: high-value homes (£2m+) subject to a new annual property charge.
• From 2027: Cash ISA allowance for under-65s cut from £20,000 to £12,000 (Stocks & Shares ISAs remain unaffected).
• Savings income tax, dividends and property income tax rising by 2 percentage points across all bands from April 2027.
This is by no means the full list and most of these changes are several years away. So there’s time to plan!
