➡️All company directors and people with significant control (PSC) have to verify their identities to incorporate a company and to become the director of an already existing company.
➡️Current directors will need to verify their identities when they file their next confirmation statement.
➡️It is an offence to act as a director or person with significant control without verifying your identity.
➡️You can verify your ID at Companies House or by using an Authorised Corporate Service Provider 😀

HMRC have increased the mileage rate for the first 10,000 business miles travelled in the tax year. From April 2026, the new rate is 55p for the first 10,000 miles, and 25p for each business mile over 10,000.
This is great news!

But did you know, you can claim 24p per mile for business travel on a motorcycle, and 20p per mile on a bicycle?

You can also claim 5p per passenger per business mile for carrying fellow employees in a car or van on journeys which are also work journeys for them. Not a lot of people know this!
