A young growing Accountancy firm are in search of an experienced trainee accountant with a positive and enthusiastic attitude. Candidates must be personable, confident, professional and comfortable dealing with clients. We have core hours of 10am until 2pm in the office - a laptop is provided to allow home working when required.

Key responsibilities will include:

Preparation of annual company accounts and personal/corporation tax returns.
Preparation of tax computations.
Preparation of VAT Returns.
Submission of the above.
Dealing with client queries.
Processing on Xero, Quickbooks, FreeAgent etc.
Admin duties in respect of client maintenance.
Supporting a growing practice.

To be considered for this role you must:

Have a minimum of 3+ years experience, within an Accountancy practice.
Knowledge of taxes in particular CIS, VAT, Corporation and Personal taxes.
Proficient in the use of Excel, Xero, Quickbooks, FreeAgent and knowledge of other accounting software advantageous.
Be confident in managing own workload.
Comfortable and able to work in a face paced environment to tight deadlines.

Start Date: Immediate

Rate of Pay per hour dependent on experience.

Today we received our Silver partner status with Xero. Xero is our favoured software, being so easy to navigate for none jargon people and a firm favourite with our team 🙋🏻

Well done to all you amazing ladies killing it and for showing up everyday no matter how hard it gets

🎉 🎉 International Women's Day 🎉 🎉

Shout out to all the women out there fighting to be treat equal.

As a woman we wear so many different hats, we try our best to be the best parent we can be by offering our children a loving and secure upbringing. We normally also try our best to be home keeper, working tirelessly to keep our home clean and tidy with a home cooked meal on the table every night. We also try to provide our children with opportunities in life by taking them to extra curricula activities to stimulate their brains and offer discipline and focus. Then on top of all this, trying to balance the monthly incoming and outgoings to make sure there is money left over for holidays and treats.

All of the above comes alongside our role as business owners or working women. This in itself feels demanding enough and can eat into any or all of the free time we are meant to have for some R&R.

I salute women everywhere for all that they face daily and for smiling in the face of all that is demanded of us.

My babies are the reason i show up everyday and keep fighting the fight to not be restricted due to my s*x, i can be a woman, a mother, a housekeeper, and a business owner. I am proud to be female and am proud of the women before us who fought for us to have the right to be anything of which we dream to be 💗

Popped into my work neighbours shop today in Kirriemuir. Absolutely fantastic little shop with a lovely owner.

Do you ever feel like you've just been existing?

Everyday like the last, no enthusiasm or peace, completely out of touch with yourself and your surroundings.

This is how I have been feeling this year, I have made small attempts at pulling myself out of it, but TODAY... today is the day I have decided to show up to life!.

I have made an effort despite looking at the mum tum, and flabby arms (which I normally do my best to hide) my grey hairs 😭 and aging skin, i look in disgust at myself daily. I have listened to a morning affirmation and have set my intention to make today count.

It isn't always a choice to continue feeling a certain way, but it's a choice to make an effort to change that.. and make choices that are more in tune with what you really need, not just what feels good at the time.. like pouring a glass of wine every night of the week!.

So wish me well on my quest to make today the day I change, not without slip ups, but always with the intention of taking steps towards my goals and living life, not just existing 💪🥳❤

The first year after rebranding has been huge 🚀

I look back at what I have achieved so far, and am humbled.

It's certainly been a journey of ups and downs, but I am grateful for the lessons and opportunities.

It's challenging in the current climate, to remain focused, dedicated and motivated.. keeping fear and imposter syndrome at bay. Juggling home schooling on top of business and life demands, is exhausting at times. It's OK to admit that your not managing to be 💯 at it all.

We try our best, we give our all... but we don't forget we are only human and only have so much to give.

I love the journey I am on, but I am also not afraid to admit, at times it's overwhelming.

But everyday I get up, I do as much as I can.. and try not to beat myself up too much for not being perfect.

Life really can all change in a year, and that all comes down to mindset, if you don't believe it, you won't achieve it.
