We got to take part in the Sponsored Duck Race at this weekend's Fakenham Riverside Festival with Active Fakenham.

It was great to see all of the decorated ducks, and the businesses and organisations who supported them. A great annual event for the Fakenham community.

A huge thank you to Stephenson Smart for getting involved in our sponsorship programme.

They are funding 10 weeks' maths tuition for a Year 10 student nominated by St Clement's High School .

Our target is to improve this learner's maths by a year (a grade at GCSE) so they can achieve a solid pass in next summer's exam.

Mileage Allowance Update 🚗

The government has increased the mileage allowance to 55p per mile for the first 10,000 business miles in the tax year and it’s been backdated to April 2026.

Rising motoring costs are hitting everyone hard, from fuel and insurance to servicing and day-to-day running expenses. This increase aims to provide extra support as costs continue to climb.

This means:
✅Higher reimbursement for business travel
✅Potential changes to mileage claims and payroll processes
✅More financial support for drivers using personal vehicles for work

Review your mileage policies today and update claims now to ensure everyone receives the new 55p rate.
