Yesterday, the team had the pleasure of meeting Jon from Coastal Commanders, who very kindly welcomed us down at Turnchapel for a boat tour and gave us an insight into the incredible transatlantic rowing challenge they are about to embark on🚣♀️
In early December, Jon and the team will be embarking on the World’s Toughest Row, rowing an incredible 3,000 miles from the Canary Islands to Antigua🌊
What makes the Coastal Commanders campaign so inspiring is the powerful story behind it.
In 2019, team member Jon was diagnosed with Stage 2 testicular cancer. Following nine weeks of chemotherapy and a full recovery, he is now preparing to take on the Atlantic Ocean — an incredible testament to resilience, courage and determination.
Jon told us that the world record for a trio of rowers is 35 days, and the team is hoping to beat it! 💪
We give the Coastal Commanders our full support and cannot wait to follow along with their journey and see them take on this incredible challenge.
Wishing the whole team the very best — we’ll be cheering you on every mile of the way! 💙
