🎄 Festive opening hours & a Christmas thank you 🎄

As we head into Christmas, a quick note from us at Bloomfield Financial.

We’ll be closing at 4pm on Friday 19 December and reopening on Monday 5 January.

This year, instead of sending Christmas cards, we’ve donated that budget to the Houghton le Spring and District 41 Club Santa Sleigh collection. Dee and Kay were out helping with the collection last night — a brilliant local cause 🎅

Perhaps if the Government stopped trying to use private pension funds for their own objectives (Mansion House Reforms), raid them for Tax (Brown 1997 removing the dividend claim back) (Reeves 2027 - bringing the whole pot in to estate for IHT) and constantly testing the water with the press about reducing the Tax Free Cash percentage - then maybe the public would have a bit more confidence in the whole pensions system.

It's actually still the most tax efficient vehicle available but the public loose confidence when politicians are constantly messing with it- for something so long term as a pension trust is very important!

Future pensioners are set to be worse off than today's with four-in-10 not saving enough for retirement, says the DWP.
