So as well as looking after clients routine payroll, tax, VAT and accounting, with my prior experience as a Big 4 Accounting Firm Auditor and then Financial controller and Finance Director, I can also provide certain skills such as prepping for audits, group consolidations, reviews of financial systems and processes, capital and loan raising multiyear forecasts and cashflow models. We like to think of it as your very own "HOF in a BOX" / Head Of Finance (HOF) in a box service..... I have worked with local businesses with turnovers ranging from £1m - £50m to deal with the complex stuff on a part time basis where they do not necessarily need a fulltime member of staff nor pay substantially higher day rates - we work on a fixed fee so no suprises other than of course the HOFF *not* showing up of course.....

The pavlova matter....

It seems my long overdue posts have prompted some queries regarding pavlovas.... As most will know I am not English and whilst there is a feirce antipodean debate between Australia & New Zealand as to who has the bragging rights, I follow strictly by the recipe from the Inverleigh Primary School Cookbook from the 1980s (see inverleigh - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inverleigh) which I have been making since I was about 12 years old and still make every pavlova on my mums pavlova tray that is of a similar vintage. I love to make them (and yes my kitchen has 2 ovens). So, along with accounting stuff, I may indeed show up with such a treat. The kitchen is open so if you are due a catch up -feel free to remind me just how much I love to bake:) Pic below is one of mine and NOT a stock photo. I cant master an egg free one so unfortunately not suitable for vegans.

Another Tax season done & dusted at Stepstone HQ. Now to start prepping for MTD for sole traders - oh wait - we already use Xero software for the vast majority of our sole traders so apart from a few tweaks here and there we are ready. So time for Gin, and the baking to recommence:)
