Accretion is 9 today 🥂

I started the business because I’d seen too many small businesses relying only on year-end accounts. That’s fine for compliance — but it doesn’t help you run the business day to day.

Management accounting is different. It’s about insight while decisions still matter.

In the early days, explaining that difference wasn’t always easy. But I believed in working from the inside out — understanding how a business actually operates and building reporting around that.

Now I have the privilege of working alongside some fantastic businesses where the numbers are part of the conversation, not an afterthought.

It’s grown steadily and intentionally over the years, supported by a small team who care just as much about doing things properly.

Very proud of what’s been built.

Tracie, her assessor said, "this learner impressed me from the minute she started her Level 2 Accounting Apprenticeship, completing it and moving through to the Level 3 apprenticeship, where she found her feet, moving her learning within the workplace to a whole new level at Aubrey and Co. She has shown dedication to all of the learning in her apprenticeship, showing a keen eye for detail and always having a calm presence within the workplace, which helps with the wellbeing of others. She has helped to mentor and train a new Level 2 apprentice, sharing her knowledge freely".

Tracie said "this learner's Accounting Apprenticeship journey started at Level 2, moving through the levels, attaining her Level 4 all with exceptional grades and has now moved onto her ACCA Level 7. She has worked so hard and showed dedication within the workplace at Aubrey and Co that she was promoted to Accounts Senior early on in her apprenticeship journey. She has two other apprentices under her wings that she is training, taking on the responsibility for their journeys, bringing the best out of them".

Our director, Jaine Wills, will be returning to the classroom in November as a part-time accountancy lecturer for Hereford College.

For those of you who don't know, she spent 10 years training accountants at Kaplan before starting the business, so we're sure the students will be in safe, competent hands.
