So, last Friday I gave a 10 minute presentation on what I do to a room of over 40 business owners, my BNI Athena - Brentwood UK family

This was actually my third time presenting. I was yet again so nervous to stand up and talk, but normally we get 45 seconds on a weekly basis. This time i got 10 minutes!! 10 minutes about payroll.

Pay spikes such as Bonuses can cause an employee to move from Entitled to Eligible, hence the importance of regular checks

What a dayyyyyyy at Accountex 2026 yesterday

Bumped into some old friends I used to work with and some great fellow Payrollers I talk to regularly

Spent the day with the lovely duo Bambi Harrison and Kelsey from B B Harrison Chartered Certified Accountant

Informative stands showcasing how they can make my business run smoothly from clients engagers, to accounting software to AI integrations.

I had to go visit my faves such as Xero, The Peoples Pension, Quickbooks, NEST, Sage and Bright

The tech and AI was just obscene.

Xero had a room on its side and you pose, which was hilarious

Brightpay took a picture of me and a robot drew a caricature of me with a favourite hobby

Quickbooks scanned my head then carved it into chocolate! I cant eat it though 🤣

I cant even with the free merchandise they all gave away, im fully stocked for a while 🙈

If you are an Accountant/BookKeeper/Payroller I highly recommend this event, its just incredible
