If you’re choosing an investment platform, it’s worth looking beyond the headline of “low fees” or “commission-free”. The right platform depends on what you invest in, how often you invest, the accounts you need and, importantly, what you’re actually paying over time.

I’ve just published detailed 2026 reviews of:
🔹 AJ Bell - a broad, established platform with a good range of investments and accounts, but one where costs can become more important as your portfolio grows.

🔹 Interactive Brokers UK - particularly interesting for investors who want a wide range of markets and tools, with a more sophisticated platform.

🔹 Trading 212 - known for its commission-free investing, with ISA and SIPP options that make it worth examining closely.

I’ve looked at the fees, accounts, investment range, tools and other practical considerations rather than simply saying which one is “best”.

The aim is simple: give investors the information to make a more informed choice for themselves.

Initially, my focus was India, then expanded to China, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East. Eight trips a year to India to find the most talented companies and individuals. Helping them establish their headquarters in the UK and expand their operations. Pretty amazing work.
