🚨 BEFORE YOU INVEST IN ANY ONLINE BUSINESS… READ THIS.
Not every “opportunity” deserves your time, money or energy.
And after 10+ years in this industry, Fiona and I have learned that the biggest mistake isn’t choosing the wrong product…
It’s choosing a business without looking underneath the surface.
If we were starting again today, these are 4 things we would investigate FIRST: 👇
1️⃣ WHO IS BEHIND THE COMPANY?
Forget the hype for a moment.
Look at the leadership.
👉 How long have they been around?
👉 What's their track record?
👉 Have they survived difficult economic periods?
👉 Are they building for the next 5–10 years—or chasing the next trend?
Because if you're building residual income, you don't want to build on something temporary.
You want a foundation.
2️⃣ ARE THEY STILL EVOLVING? 📈
A company that stops improving eventually gets left behind.
Look at their:
✅ Technology
✅ Training
✅ Marketing systems
✅ Customer support
✅ Products
✅ Leadership
Think about a garden. 🌱
You can't plant something once and walk away expecting it to flourish forever.
You have to keep improving, adapting and investing in what you're building.
Business is exactly the same.
3️⃣ DOES THE INCOME MODEL ACTUALLY MAKE SENSE? 💰
This is where you need to put emotion aside and look at the numbers.
Ask yourself:
“How much activity is realistically required to create the income I want?”
If you need hundreds of customers to generate a meaningful income, that's very different from a model where fewer, higher-value sales can potentially produce a larger commission.
For us, the high-ticket model made sense.
But don't take our word for it.
Study the compensation plan. Understand the numbers. Do your own due diligence.
4️⃣ WOULD YOU ACTUALLY USE THE PRODUCTS? ❤️
This one is massive.
Because if you're going to build a business around something for years, you better believe in what you're offering.
Ask yourself:
👉 Is there genuine demand?
👉 Do customers actually use the products?
👉 Would I recommend them even if I wasn't building the business?
👉 Do I personally believe they provide value?
For Fiona and me, we use the products ourselves.
That makes a huge difference when you're talking to people.
You're not trying to convince someone to believe in something you don't believe in.
You're simply sharing something you genuinely value.
And there are other things we'd investigate too:
Community. Mentorship. Training. Systems. Customer service. Company culture.
But these four?
They're a great place to start.
Because here's what we've learned:
Don't choose a business because it's the newest opportunity.
Don't choose it because someone posted a flashy income screenshot.
And definitely don't choose it because someone promised you overnight success.
Choose something you can understand, believe in and build for the long term. 💯
That's what we're doing.
Not chasing quick money.
Building an asset. Building skills. Building additional income. And ultimately creating more choices for our future.
So let me ask you…
